Mechanical engineering grad wins VCU Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award

Congratulations to Khushar for winning the VCU's 2020 Best Master's Thesis Award. She was selected from all the master's students from different colleges, schools and departments of VCU.

  • Congratulations to Emily Cheng for getting into Cornell Medical School . We wish her all the best for her exciting career in medicine and thank her for outstanding work at Biomag lab that led to many publications (July 2020).

  • Congratulations to Chirayu Nimonkar, for winning first place in physics category of VIRGINIA JUNIOR ACADEMY OF SCIENCE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM (VJAS) and is one of two students selected to attend American Junior Academy of Science Research Conference (AJAS) from Virginia (July 2020).

2020 Engineer of the Year" awarded by Richmond Joint Engineers' Council (RJEC)

Dr. Ravi L. Hadimani was awarded the 2020 Engineer of the Year award by Richmond Joint Engineer's Council on February 20, 2020.

2019 Magnetism and Magnetic Materilas (MMM) conference was held in Las Vegas, NV. VCU had a good representation of 2 faculty members and 4 graduate students.

IEEE Magnetics Society Summer School 2019

2019 Outreach Activity

Biomagnetics Lab members along with Advanced Materials Processing Research Lab members hosted local high school students and demonstrated several magnetic/electric experiments.
